Just finally got baby Elvis to start eating seed, and what do you know, I look in the nest of one of our whiteface and pied/pearled pair and there's not one, not two, not even three but five little hatchlings! ARGGG! Luckily, these two are our best pair parent wise so I'm thinking I'm going to keep them in there. They look to be about 10 days old, well-fed, and 2 of them are whitefaced.
I decided to put some eggs from another nest. The parents rarely sit on them and although I held a light to them and they look to be fertile, I think I waited a little too long :{ I'll give it a few more days and see what happens as I watch the new arrivals.
